Professional Updates

Professional Updates are presented by nationally renowned experts in their field who will inspire and challenge participants while addressing one of the five National Certification Standards for Lay Ecclesial Ministry or the timely theme of adolescent catechesis. Each featured speaker will present their session twice during rounds A-D.

Professional Workshops focus on specific knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by youth ministry professionals and volunteers who have a basic to moderate experience level experience level in ministry.

Learn and LeadThese sessions target youth ministry volunteers and catechists and those just beginning in youth ministry.

Special Tracks

Special Tracks are an intentional series of workshops which focus on a particular theme. Attendance is open to all conference attendees without any additional costs and participants are not required to attend all sessions in a particular track. Tracks for 2010 include:

  • Adolescent Catechesis—with specific focus on both practical and theoretical elements
  • Catholic High Schools—designed for campus ministry and religion teachers
  • Scouting and Camp Fire—sponsored by NCCGSCF
  • Sports/CYO—sponsored by NCYOS
  • Young Adult and College Campus Ministry—sponsored by NCYAMA

Netsourcing Groups

These one hour facilitator-led sessions gather participants in small groups for an engaging conversation that combines networking and resourcing around the topic, issue, group or direction that is listed.
