Roommates

If you are interested in sharing a hotel room at NCCYM please contact your diocesan director or regional representative who will assist you in finding others who are also interested in sharing a room. NFCYM does not guarantee attendees will find a roommate or that roommate matches will be compatible.

Hotel/Downtown Parking

Riverside Hilton charges $32 per day for parking. Embassy Suites is $30 per day. Other nearby lots to the Convention Center range from $10 - $25 dependng upon level of service and location. Download a copy of downtown parking lots and rates near the Convention Center and Conference hotels.

 

Flying to New Orleans

Save Money by Flying Continental Airlines

NCCYM attendees can save between 5%-15% off published fares by booking their flight on Continental Airlines.

Getting to and from the Airport, and More!

Taxicabs

A cab ride costs $35 one way from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) for one or two persons and $15 each for three or more passengers. Pick-up is on the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage.

Travel by Bus or Train

Amtrak

Union Station is located at 1001 Loyola Avenue. Amtrak does not provide transportation to or from the airport. Check schedules and fares.

Greyhound

The Downtown Bus Station at 101 Loyola Avenue, New Orleans, 70113. For information fares and scheduling, call 504-525-9371 or toll free 1-800-231-2222.

Getting around the City

Ride the Trolleys

For $1.25 you can ride the historic trolleys in New Orleans. The St. Charles line will take you from downtown to uptown, along the glamorous avenue and to the Audubon Park, Tulane and Loyola Universities. Continue on, if you choose, and ride the streetcar into Carrollton.

Take the Canal Streetcar all the way to the historic cemeteries, or choose the one that turns up Carrollton Avenue and drops you off at beautiful City Park and the grand Museum of Art.
