D418: United States Olympics and National CYO Sports: A Winning Partnership

National CYO Sports, a member of the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry, has a position on the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). This session will introduce you to the Olympic Day program, a free service of the USOC where a U.S. Olympic athlete will come to your sporting event and provide free materials to promote Olympic values and youth participation through sports. Come to meet an Olympian and learn how to help your young people through the ministry of sports.

Dr. Greg (Dobie) Moser is the past executive director of National CYO Sports and serves on the United States Olympic Committee. He has worked in Catholic youth sports for decades and is a national and international author and trainer for coaches and parents regarding forming young people as disciples.
Sue Versluys is the former director of youth and young adult ministry for the Diocese of Rochester. She is the National CYO Sports board chair and has served as a board member for the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry. Sue helped to make the transition to mandatory coaches training and formation for the Rochester CYO program and knows what to do, how to do it, and the obstacles and strategies necessary to reach the goal of discipleship.
